| Mykonos, Cyclades’ jewel,
is 'not just a "crazy bon viveur" and fascinating island
but is also beautiful and picturesque with the typical
white houses, the characteristic windmills,
the maze of alleys lined with shops, restaurants and Clubs, the
golden sandy beaches, crystal blue sea and unforgettable sunsets.
The many beaches offer the opportunity to practice
many different water sports, diving, windsurfing, water skiing
and its heterogeneous and cosmopolitan environment provides an
electrifying atmosphere through out the endless
nights.

The favorable climate allows a long season
from May to October and must be favored the months of June and
September, less crowded.
The position also provides daily excursions in the Cyclades
islands and Athens, with which it is
well connected by air and sea.

Mykonos beaches
Agios Sostis: just 10 km from Mykonos Town after
the Panormos beach, on the Northern side, it is one of the most
tranquil and less crowded beaches and does not have sun beds or
umbrellas. There are no hotels, restaurants or bars but just a
typical Greek “Taverna” open during the day. It can
only be reached by personal means or taxi.
Agrari: just 8 km from Mykonos Town among the
beaches of Elia and Super Paradise, it can be reached using personal
means of transport, taxi or small boats that run along the South
side. Sun beds and umbrellas are provided, it has restaurants,
bars and a nautical activity centre. It is still one of the most
tranquil beaches on the Southern side.
Elia: just 12 km from Mykonos Town on the Southern
side, it can be reached using public buses or small boats leaving
from Platy Jalos. It is one of the largest beaches, it has sun
beds and umbrellas and plenty of bars and restaurants. In some
areas nude bathing is also permitted. Despite some hotels, Elia
has maintained a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
Kalo Livadi: just 11 km from Mykonos Town, on
the Southern side, alongside Elia, it can be reached using personal
means of transport or the small boats. It is very large and provides
sun beds and umbrellas, characterised by a very fine sand. It
includes bars and restaurants, it is currently one of the most
fashionable beaches of Mykonos.
Panormos: approximately 9 km on the Northern
side, it can be reached using personal means of transport or taxi.
It has recently become one of the most fashionable beaches of
Mykonos, visited by the fashionable youngsters of Athens. It does
not have sun beds and umbrellas, there is just one hotel nearby
and therefore it is an exclusive beach. The restaurant/bar is
very famous for its fusion menus. |
Paraga: just 5 km from Mykonos Town, it can
also be reached using public buses or small boats that leave from
Platy Jalos. With Paradise and Superparadise it is the most visited
and fun beach, among the favourites of Italian tourists. It has
sun beds and umbrellas and a disco bar and restaurants that are
always very animated.
Super Paradise: approximately 7 km from Mykonos
Town, it can be reached using personal means of transport or small
boats. It is visited by youngsters and is famous for his happy
hours at dawn. There are plenty of bars and self-service restaurants
and the right hand side, looking at the sea, the "Coco Club"
bar is famous and has a beautiful view. |
